Showcase Lawn Works’ lawn care program is the most popular program that we offer, and for good reason. We achieve our results by toughening up your grass so that it’s more resistant to pests, weeds, stress, traffic, and drought.
Areas of Focus
Fertilizing – Our organic-based lawn treatments promote strong and rapid root growth so that damaged turf can fill in faster while making your grass look and stay green longer. With our program, a Showcase Lawn technician will first test your soil pH to determine the amount of fertilizer needed for your applications. Then we will come up with a schedule to keep your lawn fed at regular intervals throughout the year.
Broadleaf Weed Control – Dandelions, wild violet, clover, nutsedge, and other broadleaf weeds are the most troublesome in our state of Pennsylvania. The best way to minimize weeds in your lawn is through good cultural practices such as mowing at the correct height and proper fertilization, which you will get with Showcase.
Crabgrass Control – Unlike turf grass, crabgrass has an unattractive and mangled appearance. Crabgrass grows tall and grows fast, causing competition with your grass. Controlling this weed is important in making sure your grass is stress-free.
Grub Control – Our grub control program is an add-on service for customers with a severe grub problem. Grubs not only kill your grass, but they attract other foraging animals that can rip your turf up, causing even more damage.

When you sign up for our lawn care program you can expect 6 lawn treatments spaced out every 4-6 weeks.

Aeration/ Overseeding
Aeration and overseeding are fast and effective methods of restoring or establishing new lawns. Aeration helps reduce soil compaction and thatch buildup so your grass can get oxygen, water, and nutrients to its roots. You can combine with our overseeding program to bolster the strength of your grass to be hardier against, pests, diseases, and weeds.

Here in Southeast Pennsylvania, our soil tends to lean towards the acidic side. Most types of grass grow best in soil with a pH balance around 7. When pH falls below 5 it can greatly reduce the growth of your grass. At Showcase, our lawn technicians will test your soil pH to determine the amount of lime and the number of applications needed to properly balance your pH to bring your soil acidity levels to the proper range of 7.
Grub Control
Grubs are the number one culprit for lawn damage in Pennsylvania. These insects live under the soil and feed on the roots of your grass, causing it to brown and die. That’s not the only issue with grubs. They are also a staple food for moles, raccoons, skunks, and birds who won’t hesitate to rip up your turf to get at these tasty worms. For our area, late June and July is the ideal time to treat your lawn to prevent grubs.
